Choices for Treatment

Facial Fillers and Injectables

The results of facial fillers, injectables and medical grade skincare may last for six months or more. Yet, maintenance treatments are required to preserve and improve the results over time. The beauty is the treatment is very effective, provides immediate results and does not involve significant recovery time. 

Botox: Botox is used to relax muscles which cause wrinkles during facial expressions. Botox may be used on the forehead, eye and upper cheek area, and the upper lip area to improve lip lines. Learn more about Botox injections.

The Sterilization and Anesthesia
Non-surgical facial rejuvenation patients will be cleansed with an anti-bacterial agent and possibly receives a topical numbing medication and ice for comfort during the procedure. Alternatively, Dr. Champion may recommend a nerve block in the mouth. Dr. Champion will discuss options available at the time of an initial consultation.

The Injectable and Facial Filler Technique

During injectable and facial filler procedures, Dr. Champion may use multiple injections of the selected filler to equally distribute the filler throughout the treatment area. Dr. Champion may use more than one type of injectable to provide an optimal result. Finally, Dr. Champion will cleanse the treatment area and apply ice to reduce swelling that may follow after the procedure. In some cases, your treatment area may feel over-filled which will subside within a short period of time.

Injectable and Facial Filler Recovery

Injectable and Facial Fillers may involve a short recovery period due to swelling and bruising.  Dr. Champion will provide you with a list of instructions to follow to help avoid complications and provide for quality results. These instructions will include: medications to avoid, hygiene, care for injection sites, and the types of facial movements to perform or avoid on the day of the procedure.

Complications include: infection, fillers with implantable materials have a risk of producing lumps or nodules that may require treatment, facial asymmetry, bleeding, bruising, swelling, skin sensitivity.

Many injectable filler results change over time. The procedure may need to be repeated to maintain the benefit in years to come. Dr. Champion’s patients do not mind returning to the office for maintenance procedures. In the end, the reward of a more youthful, rested appearance outweighs maintenance necessities.
